LUCY Valet designed by Makio Hasuike for Metalplastica Lucchese in 1980. Makio Hasuike is a leading figure in Italian design, having founded one of the first industrial design studios in Italy in 1960. In recognition of his contribution to Italian design, he was awarded the prestigious Compasso d'Oro Lifetime Achievement Award in 2016. The LUCY valet reflects his playful yet practical approach to design - a bathroom accessory with two little legs that both references the MEMPHIS movement (founded by Ettore Sottsass) but also provide a useful and innovative solution to user needs. Featuring heavy metal base as well as bright modular towel and accessory racks.
